5 app recommendations in May 2022

Can you believe we've been recommending five Mac apps every month for a year now? Hopefully we could make some tasks easier for you, show a Mac alternative for a Windows program, help with editing files or otherwise provide good input. If you haven't found what you're looking for in the software suggested so far (see list below), you might find it in the following paragraphs. Because today we finally have the five app recommendations for May 2022.

1.Latest

Latest is an app that helps you keep track of app updates. If you're just using software you download from the App Store, then you probably don't need Latest. Because Apple's own marketplace for programs already provides information about the new versions. However, if you also or mainly use apps that you have downloaded from the web - for example from the developer websites or from GitHub - then the Latest App will help you to compare the installed and the currently available version and, if necessary, an update to perform. So you don't have to check each app individually or scour their websites for updates.

      Hello Lutz,

yes, that is known. However, some users might just want to use one app for updates and not have the dozens of other CleanMyMac features on their screen. I try to show as broad a landscape of programs as possible with the app recommendations so that everyone can choose what they need for their Mac everyday life. And that is sometimes more extensive and sometimes more specialized.

      Best regards
      John

  1. I use MacUpdater daily to automatically find updates. Great program even if it costs money. Downie is also my recommendation when I download films from the media library that I would rather watch than on ZDF. In connection with Popclip there is also an extension for Safari.
