Firmware 2.0.6 is currently being rolled out for Apple’s “Magic Keyboard”. The update is intended to prevent the Bluetooth key from being extracted for the connection to another device and then the Bluetooth communication being read out. Apple notes that the vulnerability can only be exploited if the person in question had physical access to the Magic Keyboard. So you don't have to fear a remote attack, but after updating to Magic Keyboard Firmware 2.0.6 you can now leave the keyboard unattended in the office or coworking space.
