Review of the 2023 Mac Developer Survey

For several years now, we have been taking a look at the various Setapp surveys and their results. Among other things, I have you in April 2023 the results of the “Mac Developer Survey 2023” are shown. The key statements at the time concerned the distribution of apps outside of the official App Store, the outlook for iOS app distribution outside of Apple's App Store, the integration of AI and machine learning into your own apps, the use of ChatGPT in app development and general ones economic developments. You can also find individual questions and the weighting of the answers given in the linked article. The new survey will be evaluated in about two months.

Setapp also asks users about their usage preferences

In addition to the regular developer survey Setapp We also regularly conduct surveys among those who use the apps. I last saw you in October the results of the Mac Apps Report 2023 are shown. The core statements of the survey evaluated were about app preferences including the number of programs installed and used daily. We also asked which apps are considered essential and whether and to what extent AI is used. Furthermore, the preferred or at least used payment methods and, last but not least, the type of Mac used (Intel or Apple Silicon) were queried. So if you are more interested in the user side, you can read up on it here.
