The automatic delivery of invoices for digital purchases at Apple doesn't always work. In the recent past there have even been extensive problems and for some users, sometimes for weeks, an invoice was no longer sent automatically by e-mail. If you want to keep an eye on your expenses or if you want to submit them as a trader or self-employed person for tax accounting, you can request the respective evidence manually. This is very easy via menu items on Mac, iPhone and Co. - So you finally receive your invoices for purchases in the App Store and iTunes.
Chapter in this post:
Problems with the App Store, iTunes, In-App Purchases, and Subscriptions
The manual request for invoices and other evidence of the debiting of certain amounts can extend to several areas. Virtually all digital purchases at Apple are affected - more for some users, less for others. Amongst other things according to heise online Dropouts in the automatic sending of invoices can affect purchases in the App Store and iTunes Store, but also in-app purchases and subscriptions. Private users who use their user account completely alone may not be interested in this. However, the problem also affects family accounts and people who purchase digital content from Apple for their business - apps, iCloud services, and so on.
Request an App Store invoice manually (iPhone)
You can use the iPhone to quickly view app purchases and the like and also request the respective invoices. To do this, you proceed as follows:
- Settings
- Apple ID
- Media&Purchases
- show account
- purchase History
- Touch the desired entry in the list
- At the bottom: Tap “Resend”.
Attention: The screenshots here are a bit older. It may look different now, but I just (21.07.2023-XNUMX-XNUMX) updated the instructions above (thanks, Chris!).
According to media and user reports, this manually initiated sending of invoices should always work. So if you ever miss an invoice, you can try this procedure.

Unfortunately, this only allows you to request the invoices for the apps you've bought, but not the invoices for the payments for the iCloud Drive storage, which are also missing ...
Ah, I have to look at that again. I'll post it here when I've found a way!
Thanks for looking ...
By the way, I don't get any more receipts for songs I bought from the iTunes Store ... ^^
Since you are the first listed Google HowTo:
The purchase receipts are now directly in the AppleID Settings/Media&Purchases (Show account)/Purchase Statistics (Filter by year).
The filter in the current ios17beta is really bad after I just got to compare it with ios16 :))
Only the app name and purchase date are listed in the App Store.
Hi Chris! Thank you for your hint. I'll add it directly to the article.
