Most important change: New keyboard!

Many professionals took a look at the keyboard of the MacBook Pro model in particular, because the last generations were virtually "unpurchasable" because they had installed an extremely vulnerable keyboard variant with the butterfly keyboard.

The good news: Apple seems to have done everything right with the 16-inch MacBook Pro:

  • there is a real ESC key
  • the cursor keys are arranged in an inverted T-shape and can therefore be "tactile"
  • all other keys have more space between the keys
  • the key travel has been increased to 1 mm and thus almost doubled

Even if I work with an external keyboard most of the time, the keyboard on the MacBook 12 inch has always been a bit annoying to me. By changing the keyboard, Apple is sure to please not only me ...

Confirmed rumors about the new MacBook Pro late 2019

In the last few weeks and months there have been numerous rumors and leaks about the new Apple laptop. Among other things in the Conjectures about the October keynote I already mentioned the 16-inch display with the narrower bezels (edges). It has also been confirmed that a new keyboard is being used. The Entry The Touch ID sensor that is detached from the Touch Bar also turned out to be true.

A new keyboard, which will hopefully solve the butterfly problems of recent years, as well as a Touch Bar with a separate Touch ID sensor are available in the new 16-inch MacBook Pro from Apple.
