With his GanFast range the accessories manufacturer AUKEY has launched a couple of practical chargers that are not only space-saving but also powerful. This is a relatively new representative AUKEY PA-D5 charger with two USB-C ports and a combined output of 63 watts. If only one of the Power Delivery Ports is used, up to 60 watts can be drawn. If both connections are used, one delivers 45 W and the other 18 W. For example, an Apple MacBook and an Apple iPhone can be charged at the same time - and quite quickly.
Chapter in this post:
AUKEY PA-D5, a powerful 63W PD charger
The upper of the two connections is the USB-C PD Port 1 - this delivers 18 watts and is therefore well suited for smartphones and other mobile devices. This ensures that their batteries can be charged quickly. The lower connection is intended for laptops and other larger users, ie USB-C PD Port 2. When used alone, it delivers 60 watts; 45 watts when used in parallel.
AUKEY's own "Dynamic Detect“Technology is used, which optimally regulates the power supply for the connected devices. You can find more information and customer reviews (so far mainly 5-star ratings) on the Amazon product page . view

Gallium nitride chargers are smaller and better
Gallium nitride, or GaN for short, is slowly gaining ground not only in research and development, but also in devices suitable for the mass market. The silicon alternative can be used for computer chips, with the same or even higher performance being achieved with less volume.
You can find details and extensive information on the topic in this post: Gallium Nitride Power Supplies - What is GaN and why are chargers so good at it? - Among other things, the loaders are so good because they are more suitable for everyday use. For example, the model described above measures just 6,4 x 6,7 x 2,9 cm and weighs just 148 g.
