Change YouTube name - detailed guide
Register: Sign in to your YouTube account. Click on the account icon in the top right corner and select "Settings".
Open settings: Click on "Account Information". Here you will find the option to change your username.
Change username: Enter your new username and click Save Changes. Make sure your new username complies with YouTube's guidelines and that it's still available.
Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation that your username has been changed. Check your account to make sure your new username is showing correctly.
Note: Since the channel name is often the identifier for your followers and subscribers, it is best to draw attention to this in a video before changing the name. Otherwise, some of your fans might get confused and may unsubscribe.
Why can't I change my YouTube name?
If the channel hasn't existed for 30 days or you have fewer than 100 followers, you can't give yourself a custom YouTube URL yet. However, you can change the name of the channel at any time.
What is YouTube alias?
An alias is a short channel ID that is not the channel name. While a YouTube alias is unique, a channel name can be used multiple times. Alias always begin with the @ symbol.
What name is displayed on YouTube?
The channel name is always visible on the channel page and in YouTube search results and comments.
