The start-up's offer officially starts today circuitee, which prepares and cleans technology purchased from company stocks and sells it to other companies with a one-year guarantee as "Green IT". At the start of the online shop, various smartphones, tablets, laptops and monitors are already on offer. These include Apple products such as the iPhone 11 (Pro), the iPad 6 and the MacBook Pro. In addition to the high quality of the products, fast delivery, up to 50% cost savings and an online portal for device management and support, there is also a buyback program. Circulee wants to live up to its name and return the devices to the material cycle after use.
Chapter in this post:
Used technology for smaller CO2-Footprint in companies
"A single new monitor produces around 420 kg of CO during production alone2. This corresponds to the emissions of three domestic flights' says Circulee's official press release. It also shows that the startup works with the hardware partner CHG-MERIDIAN. This checks the purchased hardware for functionality and cleans it.
In addition, a TÜV-certified data deletion is carried out, so that no old data is passed on and the new users do not have to accept any loss of memory or performance. Compared to buying a new device, there should only be advantages, especially with regard to the price and the lower CO2-Footprint.
More information about the new Circulee offer
You can find more information and the shop with the first offers on the official website of the Circulee startup. There is also information about those responsible: Thomas Gros (CEO), David Block (CFO), Fozy Khoury (CTO) and Pal Stabe (Product & UX Lead). You will also find the job advertisements there if you are currently looking for a job in Berlin. Remote jobs for the home office are currently not available elsewhere.
If you want to buy devices for your company from Circulee, there is of course also other useful information. The so-called “cockpit” is offered as a free add-on for device management with user assignment and support. This can be particularly helpful for small and medium-sized companies without a (large) IT department. After the devices have been used, there is a buyback using Circulee credit for newer hardware.
