Skylum Luminar 2018 for Mac and PC

It is not for nothing that Macphun has renamed itself Skylum - because the developer and provider of sophisticated apps in the field of image editing no longer only offers programs for the Apple Mac with macOS, but also for Windows PCs. It all started with Luminar 2018, which you can buy cheaper in the flash sale from tomorrow and until Sunday. You save for four days when buying on this page full 20 euros. These can be put in equipment, its insurance, presets and plug-in packages or in a nice lunch;)

New features in version 1.3.0 for Mac and PC

On the provider page linked above you will find many opportunities to see the functions and features of Luminar 2018 in action. Numerous screenshots and interactive instruments show you what the program can do. There is also a comparison to Adobe Lightroom. Therefore, I would like to save overly comprehensive explanations here and only give you the new features in the update to version 1.3.0. These are statements from the official press release, which is why I am marking them as quotes.

  • IMPROVED sharpening. The sharpen filter is more responsive and more accurate. As you adjust the controls, you can see all changes in high resolution in real time.
  • IMPROVED batch processing. You can now export to multiple file formats including PDF and JPEG 2000.
  • IMPROVED language support. Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish.

The planes can also be rotated by 90 ° to compensate for any camera rotations. The changes made are also saved in the file's history panel.
  • IMPROVED filter performance. You can now add or remove filters from an image more quickly. In addition, the side panel offers a larger area for filter control.

This includes the ability to replace or skip files when saving the file with the same name during batch processing. Other options include the ability to create JPEG and TIFF files, as well as improved reliability when renaming and numbering files when exporting.
