This new edition of the app not only brings a more modern and modularly adaptable interface, it is also designed for current operating systems and chips - for example on macOS 13 Adventure and M2 chip. Disk Drill 5 with better data detection and recovery

In addition to the innovations and improvements already mentioned above, Disk Drill version 5 offers other positive changes. An average scan of data carriers and directories should now find up to 30% more data and file residues from which deleted or otherwise lost files can be recovered. In addition, the production chances are weighed. The chances of saving individual, individually selected files are classified as follows: green = high; yellow = average; red = low. Also useful: A Cross Platform Scan, with which a data carrier analysis can be started on the Mac and continued on the Windows PC - or vice versa.

Disk Drill for individual use: Better to use via Setapp

As already almost three years ago in the article "Top 5 Free Mac Data Recovery Apps“, only the basic version of Disk Drill is available for free. This helps to find recoverable files and shows an overview of the directories and folders that can be saved. However, it does not take over the data rescue and thus the restoration of the deleted content. The PRO version, which costs over 100 euros, is required for this. Especially with a single use, you will certainly think twice about this issue. That's cheaper there Setappsubscription for 9,99 euros per month (cancellable monthly), which, in addition to Disk Drill, comes with over 240 other full versions of the app for the Mac. Here's all the information.
