Chapter in this post:
Not an underwater drone, but “just” an action cam today, DJI released under the slogan “Unleash You Other Side”. Although without a live stream and keynote, the DJI Osmo Action presented - a clear declaration of war on GoPro (current model GoPro HERO 7). The DJI Osmo Action has two screens (rear touch controls; front selfie display), can record 4K HDR video at 60 fps, offers camera stabilization with "RockSteady" and is waterproof to a depth of 11 meters (with case up to 60 m). Eight times slow motion is also possible.
The DJI Osmo Action is roughly in the cost range of the GoPro HERO7 and is therefore an alternative to be considered. In addition, the action camera of the drone professional offers the advantage of the front screen. The water density up to 11 meters deep should be enough for many - as well as that the camera can handle both cold and warm temperatures. If you want to go further or deeper, DJI also has the right accessories: replacement batteries, a rechargeable battery charging station for three batteries, a waterproof housing for dives up to 60 meters deep, a buoyant handle (so the camera cannot sink ), etc. You can find the offers on the Official store product page.
The new DJI Osmo Action can be controlled from the iPhone with iOS or on the Android smartphone with the DJI Mimo app. This software, with mixed ratings on both systems, is already being used for other camera models from the manufacturer. You can find the free download in Apple App Store as well as in the Google Play Store.

Da sir appleot Unfortunately not one of DJI's media and promo partners, I can't offer you my own DJI Osmo Action Test at this point. However, there are a few editorial offices that have already been allowed to use the device. I have included a few videos of these for you in the following. There is also one or two of the manufacturer's own videos for the presentation of the DJI Osmo Action. Have fun watching! And if you want to share your opinion on the cam, your expectations or wishes for upcoming products, please leave a comment;)
