Emailing large files is difficult. Most providers limit the space for attachments so that several hundred MB, 1 GB or even larger units cannot be sent. This problem can be avoided with the Droppy service - and the storage space provided by the e-mail provider can be kept free. Because via Droppy you can send up to 50 files with a total size of up to 5 GB for free. The recipients can be notified by email and then have 5 days for the download. You can find details below.
Droppy lets you upload large files for free and email the download link. Up to 5 GB this is free and does not require registration. Details and alternatives such as WeTransfer, FileMail and Firefox Send can be found here!
Droppy: Send up to 5 GB for free, without registration
The Swiss provider for sending large files and collections of data offers various tariffs (see below) - and the “Basic” tariff is not only free, it also does not require registration. The whole thing works up to 50 files and 5 GB of storage space without a user account and without logging in. The storage time is 5 days. During this time, those people you send the download link to will have time to download the material you have uploaded. There is an SSL encryption; but features of fee-based tariffs such as password protection, your own page design and your own URL and others are no longer applicable.
As mentioned above, droppy.ch has several tariffs with different features and offers. A maximum of 14 GB can be uploaded per transfer (with up to 140 files each). There is also a password for protection, more storage time and optional encryption in the form of SSL and AES Encrypt. I have summarized the details in the following table - you will also find the offers here .
