Chapter in this post:
From eufy, the smart home brand from Anker, there are now two new surveillance cameras in Germany. This is the eufy Indoor Cam 2K - once “only” with a motion sensor, and once with a pan-tilt function. At 39,99 euros and 49,99 euros, the prices for the new security cameras are comparatively low. They can also be coupled with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. They also work with the Eufy Security App and come with a two-way audio system. Further technical details as well as pictures and the link to Amazon can be found below.
The small and lightweight surveillance camera for use in the house or apartment delivers recordings in either 2K or 1080p resolution. People can be distinguished from animals using face recognition. If the entire room is not to be monitored, you can also select image sections (so-called activity zones) in which a movement triggers the recording, a message on the smartphone or similar actions. Audio can not only be recorded, but also broadcast live in both directions. Saving the recordings in the cloud is optional; local storage is also possible on a microSD card (see below). You can find more information about the 39,99 euro cheap security camera on the Amazon product page.
This slightly larger and heavier surveillance camera is ideal if you don't just want to keep an eye on a fixed image section, but want to take a virtual look around. You can remotely rotate the camera around its own axis (360° horizontal panning) and steer it up and down (96° vertical tilting). In addition, this model also offers 2K resolution along with 8x zoom and night vision function. Just like the rigid model, there's person detection, activity zones, two-way audio, and a slot for a microSDmemory card for local storage of recordings. More details and the possibility to buy the 49,99 euro cheap camera can be found here on Amazon.
Anyone who visits Sir Apfelot regularly knows that memory cards are my hobby. Why I only recommend those from SanDisk, I don't want to go into further detail here; for that I recommend you my SD card purchase advice. From this one can also quickly deduce which microSD memory card (according to eufy supports up to 128 GB) I recommend for the devices described above: the SanDisk Extreme microSDXC. With the V30 standard, it is even suitable for 4K recordings. You can read what the other abbreviations (A2, U3, UHS-I) mean on it in this guide.

In his free time he drives electric unicycles, takes photos (preferably with his iPhone, of course), climbs around in the Hessian mountains or hikes with the family. His articles deal with Apple products, news from the world of drones or solutions for current bugs.
