GEOlino Advent calendar with physics, chemistry and biology experiments

If you don't want to give your kids (just) chocolate during Advent, but rather a new dose of knowledge every day, then the GEOlino Advent calendar could be something for you. Because it brings with it 24 experiments that come from different areas of physics, chemistry and biology. An accompanying booklet ensures that the experiments can be carried out simply but effectively. The individual experiments are packed in cardboard boxes and on the inside of the outer packaging there is a board game that can be used beyond Advent. You can view and order the GEOlino Advent calendar for yourself behind this link.

24 experiments, each of which should last no longer than 10 minutes

So that the daily experiments do not take up half the day, they are kept short. This is practical because even in the run-up to Christmas there is still school and homework for the children and work and household chores for the parents. Don't forget the Christmas preparations, dates and appointments.

Thanks to the detailed instructions and pictures in the booklet accompanying the Advent calendar, kids of a certain age can carry out the experiments largely independently. Of course you should take a look at it here and there, but you don't have to follow every step down to the smallest detail. You can find further information and pictures on the Advent calendar product page.

More Advent calendars with science and experiments instead of chocolate

If the GEOlino Advent calendar isn't right because you've already given it as a gift or because your children are too young or too old for it, there are a few alternatives. For smaller kids, for example, the experimental Advent calendar with the mouse is offered (look here). According to the manufacturer, this comes with 24 attempts to discover, research and puzzle. It is recommended for ages 7 and up.

A KOSMOS Advent calendar with experiments is recommended for kids aged 8 to 12. This covers all MINT areas, i.e. mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. The 24 cardboard boxes are printed on the inside with the instructions for the individual experiments. On the outside they have a Christmas design and are all in a slipcase. The offer also looks good visually. There is a older version and new version, which differ in their content.
