Chapter in this post:
A wide variety of headphones are available for the Apple iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. True wireless models are of course best, as they do not require a physical interface (jack, Lightning, USB-C) and connect to the smartphone via Bluetooth. The use of headphones with a jack connection is not completely ruled out. In this guide I have put together various options for listening to music, listening to podcasts and making hands-free calls. These include over-ear, in-ear and other headphone models - as well as, of course, the AirPods earplugs from Apple itself.
If you still have earphones with a jack connection (AUX) and want to continue using them on Apple smartphones from model X and 8, i.e. also with XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, an adapter will help. The only Lightning to jack adapter that I can recommend is included that of Apple. This is the only adapter that did not stop working after four to eight weeks in my tests.
Alternatively, you can of course also use the Apple EarPods with a Lightning connector, but you are still wired. You can find a test of the Apple AirPods 2 with this link. As you can see from my positive conclusion shown there, I can only recommend the purchase. Meanwhile the price has dropped a lot - for example at Amazon. If you're more of a fan of in-ear earplugs, then the Apple AirPods Pro might be for you. They also have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). You will find them at this point.
In addition to the comparatively expensive models from Apple, you will also find recommendations for wireless headphones that appeal to smaller budgets here in the blog. How about the in-ear plugs, for example EasyAcc X100 with charging case? If you don't like two individual plugs, you can also use the wired ones dodocool DA109 or the MEIZU EP52 Lite try out. In the test, they were able to show some strengths, also as sports headphones.
Not only here on the blog, but above all on Amazon are rated good and very good Sports headphones from Boltune, also the Powerbeats 3 wireless headphones, and of course that too BeatX in-ear headphones (Beats by Dr. Dre). But if in-ear plugs and in-ear earphones with silicone plugs are not for you, that's not a problem. A couple of over-ear models follow.
You can get good over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation (ANC) at a low price with the TaoTronics TT-BH22. TaoTronics TT-BH047 are also good, but the wearing comfort could be better. On the other hand, very good reviews, but also a high price, are with the Beats Studio3 Wireless connected. It is also currently listed as an “Amazon's Choice” product this Boltune model with Bluetooth 5.0 (As of December 2019).
You can find more suggestions, tips and tested models from the large headphone product range in the corresponding articles, guides and purchase advice here in the blog. A selection of the individual posts is available here as a clear list:
