Chapter in this post:
Apple's iCloud services went down last night, so you may need to log in again today. Again Apple system status shows, there were problems with the iCloud backup, with iCloud Mail, with the iCloud web apps and with the iCloud storage space upgrades from 0:15 a.m. I myself received a message on the iPhone that night that I had to log in again with my Apple ID. But it still didn't work out. However, this morning I was able to log in to the online services again on both the iPhone and the MacBook.
In the first hours of January 26, 2022, there was an outage of some of Apple's iCloud services. A new login with the Apple ID on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Co. may be necessary to be able to use them again.
Apple is currently listing its services as fully functional again. For the following offers, however, there is more information and the corresponding note "Resolved problem":
I noticed the problem myself at around 1:15 a.m. when I received a push message on the iPhone that I had to log in again with my Apple ID. Then I thought "Oh, that would be a good topic for the Sir Apfelot Blog' but then forgot to take screenshots. If you have to log in again, you see that e.g. B. in the settings directly under your name card (at the top of the list).
A new login with the Apple ID and the associated password was required on the MacBook, e.g. B. to be able to use Apple Mail. To be on the safe side, it is best to check all the services that you use and that access iCloud or its storage. As of now, all services should work again and logging in should work without any problems. Do you have any comments on the topic? Then please leave a comment!

Thanks for the information. Status 26.01. 16:40 the problem persists. Apple gave me tel. pointed out that this authentication (required for me on all devices) particularly affects the "Synchronize keychain" service in connection with 2FA. All other services work.
The problem has existed since 08:00 this morning.
I also had problems logging in on all devices all day yesterday. Again and again I was asked to re-enter my password. In the evening around 20 p.m. everything was ok again and the new software update could be loaded. Called support at noon. The colleagues there have confirmed that there were probably the same problems with some users.
Today (28.01.22/XNUMX/XNUMX) I had a problem with my AppleTV and my TV. I wanted to play music but it wouldn't work. ITunes on the PC and AppleTV were both launched. WiFi worked perfectly. Nevertheless, I kept getting error messages like connection disrupted. Only after I deactivated and reactivated private sharing on the PC in iTunes on the PC did it work again. There were no problems with the iPhone and the IPad. My problem was also one of them, since I've never had this problem before.
Hello Horst! It's hard for me to judge, but maybe private sharing is somehow related to iCloud. It would be possible.
Since then Apple has asked me to re-enter the password for my email account ending in Vodafone.de using the method described above. All attempts fail because my password is wrong.
At the same time, I have access to my mail account with the password. Unusual….
