In the following there is also some information about pre-installed Apple apps and how to remove app icons from the home screen. This is because the software does not necessarily have to be uninstalled.
There are basically two simple solutions if you want to delete an iPad or iPhone app from the device. For both you have to hold down the app symbol. Depending on whether you want to use the context menu of the home screen shortcut or the later displayed minus symbol, you proceed as follows:

You can then find it in the app library. You can call it up in different ways, the easiest way is to swipe to the left on the last home screen.
