These Mac models are compatible with macOS Sequoia

With one exception, all Apple computers that also macOS 14 Sonoma are compatible with macOS 15 Sequoia. The MacBook Air from 2018 is no longer on the list with this version. If you want to install the latest macOS upgrade in the fall, you need at least a MacBook Air from 2020 (with M1 chip) in this product category. Here is the complete list:

Apple Intelligence is only compatible with Apple Silicon

One of the biggest innovations in macOS 15, iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 is "Apple Intelligence", Apple's integrated AI functions. If you want to use these as on-device services directly on the device and without the need for a cloud service, you need a device with the latest Apple Silicon. This includes the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) with A17 Pro as well as iPad and Mac models with M1, M2, M3, M4 or their Pro, Max or Ultra versions. Intel Macs are not included here.
