Why only 2,5 stars on Amazon (City: February 2017)?
Purely objectively and without having used the set, one may see the advantages listed above as well as the points mentioned by Logitech as pure advantages. However, there seem to be a few problems with its use. Here are a few points of criticism from the reviews on Amazon (some of them quite subjective, accessed on February 6, 2017):
"The pairing works [...] not via dongle to the PC.That should actually have been the USP of the product.“- here expectations meet reality; it can also be due to the dongle and not to the product per se.
"A point deduction for the still somewhat stiff keys, which do not jump back immediately but follow the fingers in a muted manner. This takes some getting used to." Or. "There is no defined pressure point and you slowly slide back into your starting position."
In short: there are definitely points that need getting used to on the Logitech MK850 set (buttons). The all-encompassing connectivity as well as the problem-free use on special mouse pads (is also addressed in the reviews) should not be assumed, however.
Summary
If you connect the set directly to the Bluetooth of a device (not via an adapter or dongle) or if you use compatible peripherals, then you apparently only have to get used to the muffled buttons. Then the Logitech MK850 set should be a good helper in the office. What do you think? Do you always expect 100% perfect products or do you also work your way into new ergonomics?
