Chapter in this post:
By chance I noticed two charging stations for DJI drones on Amazon. Not only the very extensive battery for charging the Intelligent Flight Battery, controller, smartphone, tablet and other accessories, but also the customer reviews are impressive. Each charging station, both for the DJI Mavic Air and for the Mavic Pro / Pro Platinum, has only 5-star customer ratings (as of September 17, 2018). In the following I have summarized why I find the two power banks for the drone batteries with 158 Wh and 185 Wh each so practical.
If you have a DJI drone, then you are probably already familiar with a few options for charging the battery. From the charging adapter for the car to the highly professional transport case with ventilation and all the trimmings ... The power banks with handles that Smatree offers for the DJI Mavic Air and Mavic Pro / Pro Platinum models are something in between. They have a thick internal battery and can charge the batteries of the DJI drones as well as the remote control and even a tablet or smartphone via USB. A complete offer for your excursion with the drone;)
Inset - more interesting posts on the blog:
The battery charging station for the DJI Mavic Air holds a total of three batteries and can charge them simultaneously in 40 to 50 minutes. The capacity of the power bank is a remarkable 158 Wh. With the charger offered by Smatree for the charging station, it charges in just 4 hours; but it is not included in the scope of delivery.
In addition to the three slots for the Intelligent Flight Batteries of the DJI Mavic Air (and their Fly More Combo) there is also a USB-A output for charging smartphones, tablets, drone remote controls, etc. Without operating them on the drone power bank, five to eight DJI batteries can be fully charged on the go.
You can find the Smatree battery charging station for DJI Mavic Air at a reasonable price of 135,99 EUR and with free shipping on this Amazon product page - and here in the Amazon box:
There is a separate model of the Smatree charging station for intelligent flight batteries for a total of two batteries of the DJI Mavic Pro or DJI Mavic Pro Platinum. With 185 Wh, this offers the possibility of delivering up to five full battery charges for the extended drone flight.
The charging station itself needs six to seven hours with the corresponding power supply unit to be fully charged. An LED display shows how full the internal battery is. Two USB-A ports let you charge your smartphone, tablet and / or drone controller. According to customers, the accessory, which weighs 1,67 kg, takes about 60 to 70 minutes to charge one or two empty batteries.
If you want to take a look at the Smatree charging station for the DJI Mavic Pro and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum battery or buy it for 135,99 EUR, then you can do that with this link (also via Amazon Prime) - or with this box:
On the individual product pages you will find useful customer reviews as well as questions and answers about the two power banks. These are positive across the board and reflect a high level of satisfaction. The accessories for the accumulators of the quadrocopter are not particularly heavy (compared to a transport case etc.), seem to be robust enough for camping trips and do their job reliably. If you buy one or have already used it, please leave your experiences with it as a comment under this post :)
