Chapter in this post:
For some years now, Netflix has been issuing television recommendations to show which TV sets can stream films and series particularly well. If you are still looking for the right TV set for the rest of 2019 as well as for the coming year 2020, then this year's “Netflix Recommended” models can help you. These are high-end TVs from Samsung, Sony and Panasonic. The televisions recommended by and for Netflix are based on certain technical data and requirements in the operating system; even more than the picture quality. Therefore, no LG OLED TVs are mentioned below.
Many manufacturers have pre-installed the Netflix app for streaming films and for the series marathon. This practice can be found from Medion to Telefunken to Grundig; including the Netflix button on the remote control. But after that, and also after the picture quality from Full HD to 4K or 8K with LED or OLED, it does not decide which TVs are recommended by the streaming provider.
Rather, the technical requirements that support the "Always Fresh" function, for example, are important. Always Fresh means that the device always has a current Netflix start screen ready in the background when it is connected to the Internet. Current content is always preloaded so that the app starts faster and streams can be started earlier.
