Flexible cordless vacuum cleaner: Proscenic P8 test

At a time when most devices are wireless, this trend is also affecting all sorts of home appliances. In addition to vacuum robots, cordless vacuum cleaners are, for example, a suitable product group. In this contribution to my Proscenic P8 test I would like to introduce you to a cordless vacuum cleaner without a bag, but with different attachments and replaceable batteries. The Proscenic P8 offers up to 7.000 Pa suction power and a 1 liter dirt container. You can find my experiences with the cordless vacuum cleaner in this review.

Proscenic P8 test - cordless vacuum cleaner tried out

The Proscenic P8 cordless vacuum cleaner (also known as the Proscenic P8 Trojan) arrived well packaged. In addition to the main device with accumulator and dirt container as well as the pipe and the large attachment with brush for floors, tiles and carpets, the package also included other accessories. This included further attachments / brushes that can be connected to the vacuum cleaner tube as well as to the main device itself to form a handheld vacuum cleaner. The Proscenic P8 scope of delivery also includes the operating instructions, a wall bracket and the battery charger.

The Proscenic P8 test, of course, began with unboxing. The package includes a cordless vacuum cleaner with dirt container and battery, suction and brush attachments, charger, wall bracket and operating instructions.

The assembly is very easy and intuitive. You put the pipe or the attachment to be used on the cordless vacuum cleaner and press the trigger. Yes, the switch is attached to the handle so that it can be operated with the index finger. If you do this, the suction process starts in "low gear", ie in low gear. If you press it a second time, the "High Gear" starts, that is, the more absorbent gear. Pressing it a third time switches the Proscenic P8 cordless vacuum cleaner off. By the way, it is advisable to fully charge the battery once before the first run. With my model, at least it didn't go down completely.

How well does the Proscenic P8 cordless vacuum cleaner vacuum?

In my experience, the suction power of the Proscenic P8 cordless vacuum cleaner is enough to clean regular floors in your apartment, house, office or anywhere else. It reliably sucks up dust and hair as well as coarse dirt and scraps of paper. Here I have recorded a video for you in which the cordless vacuum cleaner sucks in lentils, flour and strips of paper when you first walk over them (second gear used):

Here are a few more pictures of the device, the scope of delivery and the individual parts it contains:

In addition to the floor with laminate, linoleum, parquet, floorboards, carpet or tiles, the Proscenic P8 cordless vacuum cleaner is of course also suitable for other areas of application. For example, if you want to vacuum the couch or mattress, the device is a handy solution. The car can also be vacuumed out quickly and easily - from the footwell to the seats to the trunk and the parcel shelf. The same applies here: dust, hair and crumbs are easily removed; Any stuck should be scratched out of the textile first. Even if brushes are installed, the vacuum cleaner does not work miracles;)

Runtime comparison with well-rated competitors

The battery life of the Proscenic P8 Trojan cordless vacuum cleaner is up to 35 minutes. At maximum suction it takes about 25 minutes. Depending on the occupancy (higher on carpets due to the greater resistance; correspondingly lower on tiles), these values can vary. This is also the case with Amazon's bestsellers. In the following I have compared some of Amazon's customer favorites with the cordless vacuum cleaner tested here. The comparative values are based on the manufacturer's information.

Model Battery life Price
Proscenic P8 25 - 35 minutes € 95,70 - € 110,49 (at GearBest)
deik VC-R1093 up to 30 minutes 122,00€
Rowenta RH9057WO 30 minutes (handheld vacuum cleaner), 20 minutes (with floor nozzle), 12 minutes (boost function) 176,90€
AEG UltraPower CX8-2-95BM up to 95 minutes 249,95€

Conclusion on the cordless vacuum cleaner test

The Proscenic P8 test has shown that the device pays for itself. Sure, the running time and the charging time of the battery are a bit unattractive if you have a larger apartment in which you have to vacuum for longer than 35 minutes. But the device is definitely sufficient for regular, quick cleaning - and vacuuming usually only seems longer than it actually takes;) And this is exactly what the Proscenic P8 cordless vacuum cleaner is well suited for in my opinion: vacuuming with different attachments and brushes on the floor, on upholstery, on the carpet, in the car and so on.
