You can redeem iTunes voucher codes and credit cards directly with the iPhone or iPad in the iOS version of iTunes. To do this, simply open iTunes App and taps Music. Then you scroll down and tap on redeem. Then you can either use the iPhone camera to redeem the code of the iTunes voucher card, or you can enter the string manually.

If you have redeemed an iTunes voucher and then no credit is credited to you, then you don't need to panic. If the new balance is not displayed, then all you have to do is log out of iTunes once and then log back in. After that, the updated credit should be visible.
