Ringke Fusion Magnetic in the test: transparent MagSafe case for the iPhone 13 Pro Max

In the test: Ringke Fusion iPhone 13 Pro Max MagSafe case

As a rule, I always order a matching case with the new iPhone as soon as possible, because I drop the device somewhere every few days. Or it slips out of the pocket it is in. With the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the probability is of course even higher due to the size of the device.

TL, DR: The Ringke Fusion Magnetic Sleeve tested here is a recommendation and to be found here.

The new iPhone 13 Pro Max comes straight into the case with me - namely in the Ringke Fusion Magnetic mobile phone case as polycarbonate and TPU (photos: Sir Apfelot).

Why an iPhone case is a must for me

The best thing that happened to me once is this: I got out of the car and my foot got stuck in the (too long!) Charging cable. Unfortunately, the iPhone was hanging on the other end and the momentum tore it out of the bracket and follows it out of the car and two meters further onto the concrete surface of a parking lot.

Without a cover, it would have been pretty safe in the bucket. With the cover on, I only need to wipe off the dirt and recover from the shock.

TPU case "Fusion" from the brand "Ringke" - never heard of

When it comes to iPhone cases, I actually swear by well-known brands such as Apple, Spigen, Quadlock or similar. This time, however - due to a lack of offers - I had to fall back on an unknown manufacturer "Ringke"- and the model of the shell is called" Fusion Magnetic ". Hardly anyone knows it, but I can tell you so much: It wasn't a mistake.

MagSafe case for the iPhone 13 Pro Max

As already announced, I got the iPhone 13 Pro Max this year. Last year, the Pro model without Max was just too small for me - the presbyopia sends its regards!

And even if I rarely use MagSafe for charging, I find it extremely helpful for locking the iPhone in place. MagSafe car mounts are really handy. You can simply "clap" your iPhone on the holder and it hangs. That's why it was important to me that the new case is also compatible with MagSafe. This is the case with the Ringke Fusion Magnetic.

The cover is made of flexible material on the side edge TPU, while the back is made of polycarbonate.

Cover raised edge camera protection
Due to the raised edge, the Ringke Fusion Magnetic cover offers a certain protection for the camera module.

Due to the raised edge, the MagSafe cover from Ringke also offers protection for the display - if you need more, you should use armored glass.

Operation of the iPhone 13 Pro Max in the case

But let's get to the handling of the case. The iPhone is framed by the case over the edge of the display. This prevents small dust and sand crumbs from damaging the display if you put it down somewhere with the glass facing down. For me this is sufficient protection, but if you want to do more for the iPhone display, you can still look around for armored glass for the iPhone display.

But the camera unit is also protected from damage, since the cover is raised around the camera element and thus creates a distance between the table and the lens glass.

The buttons of the iPhone 13 Pro Max can still be operated perfectly even with the mobile phone case.

The covers for the buttons are clearly noticeable and run smoothly, so that you don't have to make any compromises when it comes to operation. You can also quickly distinguish between the volume buttons, which has given me problems with some other iPhone cases.

For people who are currently wearing the iPhone on a lanyard, there are two holes built into the lower, side area through which a loop can be threaded.

At the side edge there are bars integrated at the bottom left and right, which allow a lanyard or a hand strap to be attached.

MagSafe works fine

My test with the Apple MagSafe charger also went well. The device held so firmly that even when hanging, it would not slip off the charging puck by gently shaking the cable.

The charging function was also available and it was with me after my measurement CoconutBattery can transmit just as much power when charging as in my test without a case.

The Ringke iPhone case also gets along perfectly with the MagSafe charger.

My conclusion: a good case for the iPhone 13 Pro Max

If you are looking for a transparent TPU case that protects the edges, the back and the camera and display with raised edges, you can't go wrong with the Ringke Fusion.

I have had it on the iPhone 13 Pro Max for over a day and have not found any disadvantage so far.
