A few tips recently came in from our reader Charly to help share the iPad or iPhone screen in a video conference. If you want to share your display with the other participants during a video call, you can do this - if these programs are used - via Zoom or TeamViewer. Here you will find the instructions and further links that will help you.
If you use the Zoom app for video conferences from your home office, for video calls with your family or for cozy get-togethers with friends, you can use it to share your screen on iOS and iPadOS. For the screen transfer, at least iOS 11 and the Zoom app version 4.1.18611.1228 are required. Then it should work like this:
You can find detailed instructions with screenshots in the Zoom Help Center: Click here.
If you use the Zoom Desktop Client for use on an Apple Mac or Windows PC, you can also use it to share the screen of your iPhone or iPad. This is done on the one hand via the wireless screen mirroring, on the other hand via the connection of iPhone and Mac via cable. The latter should be done particularly quickly and easily.
To do this, simply select "Share screen" from the menu bar in the desktop app and then either "iPhone / iPad via AirPlay" (screen mirroring) or "iPhone / iPad via cable". On the connected Apple device it must then be selected that the computer is trusted. To do this, the iPhone code (unlock code) must also be entered.

With TeamViewer 14 and TeamViewer QuickSupport, for which at least iOS 12 or iPadOS 12 is required, it should also be very easy to share the mobile display with others. This is possible in connection with the application on devices with macOS, Windows, Linux, Android and iOS. Here, too, the screen sharing must first be added to the control center (see above).
Then the QuickSupport app is opened, the TeamViewer ID is called up and the connection request is confirmed. TeamViewer is opened on the target device, i.e. the Mac, Windows PC or similar, the TeamViewer ID of the iOS device is entered and the connection is established. Remote maintenance must then be permitted on the mobile device in order to enable access via the computer.
