You already know Setapp if you stop by here in the blog more often. The app subscription with over 200 full versions for the Apple Mac ensures that you have all programs and tools for work, hobby and leisure at hand. But the team behind Setapp wants to design its own offer even more towards busy professionals. And that's why a new business and tech newsletter is starting now with news and stories curated only for this purpose. These should serve (almost) every Friday to provide an overview so that the readers have more time elsewhere. Setapp Stories was in the test phase for four months, now it's my pick of the week.
Setapp software subscription: Discover the offer here
Chapter in this post:
After four months in the test phase and positive feedback from beta readers, the newsletter called “Setapp Stories” is now being sent to many more people in their mailboxes. A dedicated team of curators at Setapp monitors the most important media in order to select hotly debated economic and technology stories and then package them into entertaining, clear explanations. News sources include such renowned media outlets as The Verge, TechCrunch, Wired, Forbes, PCMag, CNN, BBC and many more. So similar to ours Sir Apfelot newsreel, which you can find here in the blog every Friday;) The last ten posts and further information are also always available in the Sir Apfelot newsletter.
The Setapp newsletter should always follow a certain structure. There are three categories for this purpose: The openerwhich Else where and the Post credits scene. You can tell from the name that this is an English-language newsletter. The three parts of each issue contain the following content:
- The introductory one opener: Brief overview of the most talked about news of the week, such as B. the Pegasus spy software or the car touchscreen from Mercedes-Benz
- The category Else where: Here you get five to seven news bits from all over the world, thanks to which you can take an even closer look at what is happening in business and tech
- The Post credits scene: Recalls what happened in the history of technology that day and how it influenced current developments. In addition to the on-this-day content, it also shows what has become of the idea, the device, the company or other keyword.
I considered Setapp Stories for two reasons Pick of the week selected for week 34 in 2021: On the one hand, I think the idea is great, and on the other hand, to be honest, I didn't have anything else in store for this section this week :D The Setapp press release came in handy. I hope that you like the idea and the newsletter that is now available with it.
