The test report of the Digitalkamera.de website got a lot of praise for the Sony NEX 7 over. He testifies that the Sony system camera has fantastic image quality and calls it an alternative for a DSLR digital camera if you can do without certain functions - in terms of tonal range, color dynamics and image quality, it is definitely a serious competitor. However, it is also emphasized that the [choice of lenses for the Sony NEX 7-> lenses-sony-nex-7] is of great importance for the image quality. You know that from the Nikon D800which delivers only very poor images with mediocre lenses.
The test also emphasizes that the NEX's automatic programs allow you to take impressive photos even as a beginner. The operation via the selection wheels takes getting used to, but with a little training, you can get along well as a photographer.
Buy Sony NEX 7 - used, body only or as a kit?
The Nex 7 can be recommended in various ways and in different variants. If you don't want to pay the high price for new goods, you will also find the Sony NEX 7 used on the internet. They are also available either as a body or in a set with a lens. This is then usually called a "kit" and can be purchased, for example, with the 18-55mm lens from Sony.
Good results with the right manual
The manual that comes with the NEX 7 is, like all the manufacturer's instructions, quite neutral. However, you can get real practical tips and hints about which settings bring which results with a good book. I bought “the Sony Alpha NEX 7 manual” with my NEX 7 and can only recommend it. The tips are very good and information about the lens, shutter speed and aperture is given for all example shots. This makes it easy to see what the authors did to achieve a specific effect:

I've owned this camera since the beginning of 2014 and bought it second-hand. My lenses are the Sony SEL 18200, Sony 1018, Zeiss touit 2,8 50. The image quality is beyond any doubt up to ISO 1600, the photos are very brilliant and sharp. I am very satisfied with this camera!
Hi Peter! I would also be interested in the Sony 10-18, but I am pondering whether I would like to change cameras in the near future. The Sony alpha 7 interests me a lot. Unfortunately, the beautiful device is significantly more expensive than the alpha NEX-7 ... But a system camera with a full-frame sensor is quite tempting. :)
