A few days ago I received a very exciting device from Satechi: The Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand. This is a 10.000 mAh power bank that has two dedicated Qi charging surfaces for the iPhone and the AirPods.
It also has a USB-C input and output, which can be connected to the optionally available Charging puck for the Apple Watch or other USB-C compatible devices.

Designed for Apple users, but not only
There is no question that Satechi is targeting Apple users with its products, because both the color scheme and the Space gray, as well as the product photos and the compatibility lists show that this target group has been targeted.
But basically there is no proprietary Apple standard behind the USB-C connection and the two Qi charging surfaces, but you can also use these charging options for devices from other brands.
Satechi Powerbank as a flexible travel charger
If you go on longer hikes or excursions, it can happen that the battery of the iPhone or AirPods runs out and you urgently need a charging option.
The Satechi Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand can help here, because it offers two wireless charging stations at the same time in the smallest of spaces. In the café or in the beer garden you have created a quick way to charge your devices without a tangle of cables.
The Satechi Powerbank hardly takes up any space in your handbag or backpack, making it perfect for a short trip or a hike.

Charge the Apple Watch only with Extra
On the product photos you can sometimes see that an Apple Watch is being charged on the power bank at the back. However, you only have this option if you plug an Apple Watch charging cable into the USB-C output.
Satechi has a charging puck without a cable, which is of course also practical for travel, as it hardly takes up any space. If you are interested, you can find my test report here Satechi USB-C Magnetic Charging Dock.
But it has to be bought separately and is not included in the scope of delivery of the power bank.
Workmanship and design
As always, there is nothing to complain about here. Satechi also uses a mixture of anodized aluminum and black plastic for the Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand. The device feels good in the hand and should be able to withstand a lot thanks to the aluminum frame and perform well when travelling.
The folding mechanism for the slope on which you can put the iPhone is not too smooth and looks very solid when you use it.
Finally, the design is also well thought out: If you open the flap on which you place the iPhone, the rubberized surface on the underside moves up at the same time so that the iPhone stands securely. This is supported by the three rubber circles that are attached to the top of the flap.
Practical use of the Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand
Unfortunately, I didn't go on vacation and didn't have a trip where I could have taken the device with me. But I think I can get a good picture of the Satechi Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand.
The operation is also quite simple: First, the flap is opened completely to put the iPhone down. To turn on wireless charging, briefly press the button on the side. Then the blue LED bar on the front is activated. Now you put your AirPods on the back on the appropriate surface and the iPhone on the appropriate shelf.
If no devices are placed on the charging surfaces, the Qi charging pads deactivate after 5 minutes of inactivity. If you want to end wireless charging manually, hold down the button on the side of the power bank for 5 seconds. If you put incompatible things on the Qi charging surfaces, the status bar on the front lights up orange.
Charging speed with wireless charging
I also measured how fast an iPhone charges when I put it on and landed at 4% per 10 minutes.
If you like it faster, you should look around for a USB-C to Lightning quick charging cable and use it to charge. This makes it much faster, but you have to work with a cable.
USB-C socket is input and output at the same time
On the USB-C output, you can connect any devices that are to be charged. The output is limited to 18 watts USB-C PowerDelivery and is therefore mainly suitable for iPads or smartphones.
However, I would not plug in a 12,9-inch iPad Pro because it would charge very slowly and the power bank is probably not even enough to fill the iPad Pro completely.
Alternative: Satechi Powerbank with Apple Watch charger
If you don't need the special tray for the AirPods, but instead often have to charge an Apple Watch, you can use it Satechi Quatro wireless power bank (here in the test report) look at.
This also has Qi charging and a built-in Apple Watch charger. Unfortunately, it does not offer an iPhone stand and also costs around 100 euros.
My conclusion
Perhaps the only criticism one could level at the Satechi Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand is the price. At just under 100 euros, it is one of the more expensive power banks.
If you then still the Charging adapter for the Satechi Apple Watch ordered at the same time, you add another 45 euros.
However, if you are not put off by this, you will get a very practical, stylish and robust charging solution for your Apple devices when you are on the go.
With the built-in power bank, the device is of course aimed at people who need to charge somewhere where there is no electricity.
I think the device is very successful and well thought out. If you often have to charge on the go without a mains connection and are looking for an elegant solution, the Satechi Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand is a good choice.
