I have owned the tizi petrol station for a few weeks - a small test report will come soon. Now tizi has optimized the successful model even further and also offers 2,4 ampere charging current, which is made available to the corresponding devices. The design of the tizi petrol station has also been revised. In practice, it is definitely helpful that the petrol station has parallel USB ports. With these it doesn't matter how you plug in the USB connector - it always fits.

My assessment of the new tizi petrol station
If you have the old tizi gas station, you will only need the new one if you have an iPad Pro. All other devices that I use (from the Anker Powerbank to the iPhone 7 Plus) don't charge more than 2 Ampere (I tested this with a USB meter). The old model of the tizi gas station already offers 2 ampere charging current per port and is therefore easily sufficient. My measurements have shown charging currents of 1,5 amps for the iPhone 7 Plus - that was the maximum of my USB consumers.

Also new: tizi gas station with 2 ports
If you don't need 4 ports and can manage with 2 charging ports, you can not use the tizi petrol station. The smaller model is also new and is aimed less at power users than at the average Otto consumer. Nevertheless, it offers the Auto Max Power technology and delivers up to 2,4 amps per port (with 4 amps total current / 20 W power). So if you have to charge USB devices less often, you will be happy with this 2-port charger.

The mini gas station from tizi is not new, but still worth a mention. The small gadget only has one port, but is a serious charger that delivers a charging current of 1 ampere. That is not as much as an iPhone 7 would like, but the small USB charger scores points with its minimal dimensions, which should be of particular interest to backpackers. If you have an outlet overnight, it doesn't matter whether the iPhone is fully charged in two or three hours anyway. What matters is that it is 100% ready the next morning.

I would like to recommend the equinux bestsellers to anyone who is not yet familiar with the “tizi” brand. The workmanship of their products leaves nothing to be desired - which unfortunately is also reflected in the price - and the functionality is also very good!
