Document shredders with cross cut - pick of the week week 24

My current pick of the week is not a single product or a specific app, but rather a type of product that is currently needed in more households than usual. Because after more than a year of working from home, some people go back to work. In the meantime, however, some documents and records have accumulated at home that contain sensitive data or contain other company-internal information. When these no longer need to be kept, they can be disposed of with waste paper. But just toss it in the blue bin without making it illegible beforehand? Better one then Document shredder with cross cut use.

Document shredder with cross cut

I came up with the topic because I am currently sorting out a few folders, binders and shelves. There are expired contracts and outdated bank statements there. There are also more up-to-date documents with sensitive data, but they do not necessarily have to be kept. That's why I dealt with the topic of document shredders.

There are many different models, from the simple strip cutter to the cross-cut document shredder that can shred several pages at once. Even CDs are no problem for some devices. So there is a suitable paper shredder for every scenario.

In the following I have included a small Amazon bestseller list for cross-cut document shredders. This updates itself and always shows the shredders that are currently rated the best and thus have the best price-performance ratio:

Paper shredder with strip cut

If you don't need a cross cut or any other power features, because you just want to shred a few not-too-delicate documents to be on the safe side, then a strip-cut document shredder will probably be sufficient. This would certainly be sufficient for my purposes, as I have no documents with state-sponsored or patented information.

If you are also looking for a rather simple model for shredding documents, documents and files, then take a look at the following list. These are again the current bestsellers from Amazon, some of them of course with free Prime Shipping for members of Amazon Prime.

Manual document shredder with crank

Don't you want to buy and store a loud, electrical device so that you can safely dispose of a bit of waste paper once a year or even less? Then maybe small crank models are something for you. A manual document shredder works with a hand-operated crank. With one hand you insert the paper, with the other you move the knives that cut it. There are also Offers with CD and credit card shredders.

In the following you will find a bestseller list that always shows the best rated and reasonably priced models from Amazon. So in a few years' time you will still find working links to products that are not sold out in the meantime. Have fun browsing:
