My “LIEBSTER-AWARD” 2016 – thank you for the nomination!

Nomination Liebster Award 2016

Phew, it's been a month since me Henrik from mobilethings.de for the “Liebster Award”, for which I would like to thank him first of all! But of course the nomination doesn't just mean "rock'n roll and easy girls" but also involves work, because you have to answer a few questions... and that's exactly why I put it off for sooooo long. ;)

Have you been nominated for the Liebster Award? Then party first – right?!? ;-)

1000 questions and my answers

Ok, it just seems like 1000 questions to me. If I count exactly, there are actually exactly 11... but that's quite a lot. And they really aren't easy questions that I could just answer with "Joh" or "Nöh". But today I decided to answer everything and here are the results:

1. How did you get into blogging?

Yes, good question. Actually, it all started with doing web design for companies and at some point I came across the Wordpress beta (yes, back then it was still V 0.something). Unlike all other website templates and similar stories, Wordpress had a very snazzy typography that I liked right away.

First I tinkered with small websites and only later realized that blogging can actually be a way of making money. And when the thought had matured, the only question left was which topic interests me enough to blog about it for years. You know what came out of it: Apple and tech stuff. :)

2. What else do you want to achieve with your blog?

My dream is to blog “full-time” one day. But the income is still too modest for that (or my expenses too big?!?). I come across so many topics related to iMac, iPhone or iPad every day that I would like to write five posts a day. But unfortunately I can do that next to my "Main occupation" not. A big goal is to reach more readers in any case, to bring my big goal a little closer. :-)

3. Could you imagine life without your blog?

Yes, definitely! I would also spend the day reading, drinking coffee, vacationing and climbing! But it's also nice to get feedback from readers who are happy about a post that has solved one of their problems. Then as a blogger you also notice that the blog is being read.

4. Is there anything you hate about blogging?

Not really. Except maybe the fact that I have too many things on my mind that I want to write about, but which I come to far too seldom! @Henrik: You are my great role model. As regularly and often as your blog posts appear, I would like it for my blog!

5. What is it about blogging that fascinates you so much?

It's just nice that you can write about things that interest you. And the really fascinating thing is when you realize that you are not only writing for “the Internet” or “for Google”, but that a readership is gradually developing from which you then receive feedback on articles. But of course that takes time.

6. Why did you choose this topic for your blog?

Well, I've been working with Macs for over 20 years and I think the Apple products are simply successful. And technical things are exciting anyway, so it made sense to blog about them.

7. If you could only take three things with you to a lonely island without electricity: Which would it be?

Strom and my iPhone and my MacBook ?! No, I was just kidding. I would of course first choose an island with rocks and then take climbing shoes, climbing rope and climbing harness with me. And then I would negotiate with the invisible fairy who brought me to the island that I still need a certain woman as a security partner! And she is allowed to take three things with her, which should then perhaps include food and drink. That would be all I need ...

8. What do you dislike at all?

Well the usual: arrogant people, war and cake with gelatine.

9. In which country did you last travel?

That was quite unspectacular: Austria. But it was a nice vacation in the mountains with great views and lots of experiences.

10. What do you really want to do again?

Travel a little. New Zealand and Norway are high on the list. I don't have a particularly "crazy" thing planned. I'm quite modest... :-)

11. What would you never do?

I don't think I can answer that question so easily. There are of course many things that I would never do ... torment people or animals; Eat broccoli or climb ne UIAA 11+ (9a +). But the question is simply too general. I can't answer that broadly now. ;)

Rules for the “Liebster Award”

  • Thank the person who nominated you and link them on your page. If possible, leave a corresponding comment on your blog in which you accept the award so that others can see it.
  • Copy the emblem or get one that suits you from the net and place it visibly on the award page so that the dearest award is and remains externally visible.
  • Answer the 11 questions you have been asked and publish them on your website. If you want to present facts about yourself beyond the questions, you can do so in your own blog: Facts about me (up to 11 possible); if you don't know what to do with the questions, you can, as an exception, exchange them for facts; but should also justify this accordingly.
  • Think up 11 new questions for the bloggers you want to nominate and post the questions on your blog.
  • Copy the rules and post them on your blog too, so the nominees know what to do.
  • Nominate between 2 and 11 new bloggers that you would like to recommend. If possible, these should be those that are still little known, but offer recommendable content. If you want, you can adhere to the 200-3000 follower / reader rule, i.e. recommend blogs that are below these numbers.
  • Present the new nominations on your site and personally announce your nomination to the bloggers concerned. It is recommended to use the comment function on the respective blog, if this is suitable.
  • It is also recommended to ask the nominees in advance whether they want to participate at all so that they do not feel attacked.

My nominations and questions

Of course, I also have two bloggers whom I would like to nominate. One is my friend Ela from immertreu.net and the second is Heiko Gardenerwho is trolling around the world with his buddy Tobias.

My questions to you:

  1. How did you start blogging? At what time and with what thought in mind?
  2. Do you blog “full-time” or do you earn your time for blogging with other things?
  3. What motivates you to keep writing new blog posts?
  4. Do you still have dreams that you want to realize someday?
  5. What is the place like where you blog? Sofa, table, cafe, laptop?
